Terms of Service

The rules of using Norcube

A plain-language contract between you and us when you use our products. Written to be readable first, lawyerly second.

No auto-renewal traps Cancel anytime Your data is yours EU governing law

Last updated: 2026-05-15

The short version: You use the service, you pay for what you use, your data stays yours, we keep it safe. Don't break the law or abuse the service. Either of us can end the relationship at any time. If something goes wrong, we own it.

When this document says "we" or "Norcube," we mean Jetlio, s.r.o.

# What you're agreeing to

By creating an account, using the product, or clicking a button that says "I agree," you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

If you are using Norcube on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Norcube is built for developers and product teams. We welcome students and hobbyists of any age — many of the best engineers we know started writing code as teenagers.

That said, entering into a contract requires legal capacity, which usually means being 18 or older. If you are below the age of legal capacity in your jurisdiction, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf, and they take on any payment commitments. We will not knowingly process the personal data of a user who needs parental consent under their local law without that consent.

If you become aware that a young user is using Norcube without the proper parental consent, please email [email protected].

# What we provide

Norcube is a set of cloud services for developers and product teams. Today that includes:

  • Backup — automated database backups
  • LangSync — translation management
  • DomainRadar — domain monitoring and brand protection
  • PulseCheck — uptime and performance monitoring
  • PromptHub — AI prompt management

We may add, change, or retire products at any time. If we retire a product you depend on, we will give you at least 90 days' notice and help you migrate or export your data.

# Your account

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password and API keys confidential
  • Everything that happens under your account
  • Making sure people you invite (team members, collaborators) understand and follow these terms
  • Not creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, email [email protected] immediately.

# Payment

Some Norcube products have a free tier. Beyond that, you pay based on the plan you choose and your actual usage.

  • Billing currency: EUR or USD, depending on your account region
  • Billing cycle: monthly or annually, charged at the start of each period
  • Payment processing: handled by Stripe. We never see your card number
  • Failed payments: we will retry a few times over a week. If still unpaid, the service may be suspended. We will email you before any suspension
  • Cancellation: cancel any time from the dashboard. You keep service until the end of your current paid period. No refunds for partial periods (and we do not auto-charge for the next one)
  • Price changes: we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase

# Your data is yours

You own everything you upload to Norcube. We claim no ownership over your translations, backups, prompts, configurations, or any other content.

We do not:

  • Sell your data
  • Use your data to train AI models
  • Share your data with third parties for marketing
  • Look at your data except as needed to operate the service (debug, security investigations)

We do process your data to deliver the service you signed up for, and we use a small number of trusted subprocessors (AWS for hosting, Stripe for billing, OpenAI for AI features, etc.) — listed transparently.

You can export or delete your data at any time. See the privacy policy for full details.

# Things you must not do

Don't use Norcube to:

  • Break the law (anywhere)
  • Host or distribute content that infringes intellectual property
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Host illegal content (child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, etc.)
  • Run security scans, penetration tests, or stress tests against systems you don't own
  • Probe our infrastructure for vulnerabilities (we have a responsible-disclosure process at [email protected] — please use that)
  • Resell access to the service without an explicit reseller agreement
  • Reverse engineer our infrastructure or extract source code
  • Use the service in a way designed to harm other Norcube customers

We may suspend or terminate your account if you do any of the above. For serious violations, we may also report to the relevant authorities.

# Service availability

We try to keep the service running 24/7, but we don't make formal uptime promises in this document. We monitor at status.norcube.com.

We schedule maintenance during low-traffic windows. Major changes are announced in advance.

Beyond planned outages, sometimes things break. When they do, we own it: we work to restore service, we tell you what happened, and we make it right where applicable.

Enterprise customers can negotiate a separate SLA with specific uptime commitments. Talk to us.

# AI features

Some products use AI to generate content (translations in LangSync, content suggestions in PromptHub, classification in DomainRadar). When that happens:

  • AI output may be wrong. Review before relying on it for anything important
  • AI does not make decisions about your account or your customers without your involvement
  • We disclose in the UI when AI is generating output you see
  • The AI processing happens through OpenAI, under a contract that prohibits training their models on your content

The EU AI Act applies to our use of AI; we comply with the deployer obligations applicable to our use cases.

# Intellectual property

We own the Norcube platform — the code, design, documentation, brand, and trademarks. You own your data.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our platform code
  • Use our trademarks or logos without permission
  • Claim Norcube as your own creation

You may:

  • Use our API and SDKs to integrate Norcube into your own products (within the limits of your plan)
  • Reference Norcube as a vendor in your own materials, including using the word "Norcube" and our logo for that purpose
  • Take screenshots for legitimate purposes (documentation, training)

# Termination

You can leave any time. Cancel from the dashboard, export your data, you're done. After cancellation, we will delete your data within 30 days unless we are required to keep it for legal/accounting reasons (such as billing records for tax purposes).

We can also end the relationship, with notice when reasonable. We will end it without notice if:

  • You violate these terms in a serious way (illegal content, abuse, fraud)
  • We are legally required to
  • Your account is dormant for an extended period (we will email first)

If we terminate, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data unless legal reasons require immediate suspension.

# Liability

We provide Norcube "as is" — we do not guarantee it will be error-free, that backups will never fail, or that translations will be perfect. You are responsible for using the service in a way that is appropriate for your risk tolerance.

To the maximum extent permitted by Czech law:

  • Our total liability to you for any cause is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (lost revenue, lost business opportunities, etc.)
  • Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits — in those, our liability is limited to the smallest amount allowed by law

This section does not limit our liability for matters that cannot be limited by law (gross negligence, willful misconduct, harm to consumers under EU consumer protection law).

# Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep all consumer-protection rights that local law gives you — these terms do not reduce them.

For disputes:

  1. First, email us. We will try to resolve it informally
  2. If that doesn't work, courts in the Czech Republic have jurisdiction. EU consumers can also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform

# Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do:

  • Minor changes (typos, clarifications): we update the "Last updated" date
  • Material changes (anything affecting your rights or obligations): we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect

If you continue using Norcube after a material change, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, cancel before they take effect.

# Other

  • Entire agreement. These terms (plus the privacy policy and any contract you've signed with us) are the complete agreement between us
  • Severability. If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a right one time, we still have it the next time
  • Assignment. You can't transfer your account to someone else without our written permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations in a merger or acquisition (we will email you if that happens)
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, cyberattacks against the wider internet, etc.)
  • Language. This English version is the controlling version. We may provide translations for convenience; if there is a conflict, English wins
