How billing works

The same rules apply to every product, so adding a second one never means a second contract.

One monthly invoice

Every product your organization uses lands on one invoice, issued after the end of each calendar month for what you actually used.

Free tiers reset monthly

Free tiers are counted per organization and reset at the start of every month. You only pay for usage above them.

No seats, no contracts

Invite your whole team at no extra cost. There are no annual contracts and no minimum term.

Cancel any time

Stop using a product any time. Plan fees are prorated, and cancellation takes effect immediately.

Your currency

Fees are charged in your organization's billing currency, US dollars unless set otherwise. Payments run through Stripe.

Price changes announced

We email you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect, and changes never apply to months already invoiced.

Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Backup Free plan, Monitor and the free tiers of DomainRadar and LangSync don't need a credit card, and neither does the CMS open beta.
How are free tiers counted?
Per organization and per calendar month. Backup includes its free usage in the Free plan; LangSync and DomainRadar each have their own free tier, and DomainRadar splits its 500,000 free checks per method (Bloom 400K, DNS 70K, RDAP 25K, WHOIS 5K). Usage above a free tier is billed at the next price step.
What exactly counts as usage?
Backup has a monthly plan, and counts job runtime per second and stored archive size beyond what the plan includes. LangSync counts stored strings: each key plus its filled translations. DomainRadar counts checks by the method that answered, and cache hits are free. Each product page lists the full rules.
When and how am I invoiced?
Monthly, in arrears. After each calendar month, you get one invoice for your organization with the usage charges for that month, plus any plan fees prorated for the days a plan was active. Stripe charges the payment method on file when the invoice is issued.
Do you charge VAT?
Prices are stated without VAT. We aren't currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added today. If that changes, VAT will be added where the law requires it.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There is no minimum term. Cancellation takes effect immediately, plan fees are prorated up to that moment, and usage up to then appears on your next invoice. On Backup, moving to the Free plan works the same way. See the Terms of Service for the details.
What does the CMS cost after the beta?
We haven't set it yet. The CMS is free during the open beta, and we'll publish its pricing before the beta ends, and before anything changes for beta users.
